ISLAMABAD:(JTN) OIC Council of Foreign Ministers

The 48th two-day meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will begin today in

Islamabad.

The meeting will be attended by foreign ministers, observers and

guests from all 57 Muslim countries, while Prime Minister Imran

Khan will also address the inaugural session today.

= 140 resolutions will be presented on issues

One hundred and forty resolutions will be presented on these

issues. The President of Pakistan will host a dinner in honor of the

Foreign Ministers and Delegates, while the Saudi Foreign Minister

will formally hand over the chairmanship of the meeting to Pakistan.

= Indian atrocities on Kashmiris will be condemned

There will be a meeting of the OIC Contact Group, in which Indian

atrocities on Kashmiris will be condemned and the unilateral Indian

move of August 1, 2019 will be strongly rejected.

Special arrangements have been made for Afghanistan’s

participation in the conference, Afghanistan The implementation of

the decisions of the last special meeting will be reviewed.

= China, UK, Canada, Germany and Australia have been invited

Many important countries including China, UK, Canada, Germany

and Australia have been invited to attend the meeting. The Pakistan

Day Parade will also be shown. Opening and closing sessions of the

meeting will be open.

At the end of the conference on March 23, Foreign Minister Shah

Mehmood Qureshi will hold a joint news conference with OIC

Secretary General Hussain Brahim Taha.

= Humanitarian situation in Afghanistan will also addressed

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Secretary

General of Islamic Cooperation attended the meeting Organization

Hussain Ibrahim Taha and several other leaders including the

President of Islamic Bank have reached Islamabad.

According to ISPR, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that

the OIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting would be a historic occasion to

address the serious humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, paving

the way for a joint strategy to address the challenges facing the
