Karachi (JTN) Melody Queen Nazia Hassan’s
Popular pop singer of the subcontinent Nazia Hassan’s 57th
birthday is being celebrated on April 3 today. Presidential Award
winner Nazia Hassan was born on April 3, 1965 in Karachi. She spent
her childhood in educational institutions in Karachi and London.
= Nazia along with brother Zohaib introduced a new dimension
Hassan reached the heights of fame at the age of just 15 when he
sang in the famous Indian filmmaker Feroz Khan’s film “Qurbani” “If
someone like you came into my life, it would be a thing”. Nazia
Hassan, along with her brother Zohaib Hassan, introduced a new
dimension to Pakistani music.

She introduced the Western style of music in the 80’s, which was
introduced to the Pakistani youth generation abroad including India,
USA, UAE, Latin America and around the world. Nazia Hassan is
considered one of the founders of pop music. Nazia Hassan died in
a London hospital on August 13, 2000 at the age of 35. She was
diagnosed with cancer.
