PESHAWAR: (I.R.Khan) KPK will invest 2.5 billion
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will invest two and a half billion
rupees in five CPEC projects for construction, development,
maintenance and solarization. The Chinese government has started
giving more scholarships to students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Study
center established, significant improvement in infrastructure in
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the launch of CPEC, direct investment
associated with political stability.
=CPEC played an important role in ther development of KPK
According to Wealth Pak report, China Pakistan Economic Corridor
has played an important role in the development of Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa considering its strategic importance. and will lead to
social development besides improving infrastructure, energy sector
and industrial development in the province, however, it will be a test
for the provincial government to convey the benefits of the CPEC
projects to the masses.
=Modern industrial parks will be established in the province
The CPEC route passing through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will greatly
boost the economy and industry of the province. Under CPEC,
modern industrial parks will be established in the province, which
will create employment opportunities and attract large investments
in the province. Prof. Fakhrul Islam, Director of Pakistan Study Center,
University of Peshawar, said that CPEC is a part of the Belt and Road
project that has great potential for economic stability and
=SEZ will be the key to development. Prof.Fakhrul Islam
CPEC is definitely a game changer but it is also a test of our mettle.
It depends on our ability to maximize the benefits of foreign
investment and expertise. He said that special economic zone
projects need to be given priority because in the past, due to
various reasons, big industries in the province were not very
successful. He said that small and agricultural industries should be
established in Special Economic Zones. He said that if the plan is
implemented successfully, the Special Economic Zones will be the
key to development.
=Policy reflecting the priorities of the province
Professor Fakhrul Islam said that a policy reflecting the priorities of
the province should be formulated in this regard. He said that
special economic zones will greatly benefit the workers of the
province as employment opportunities will be created. He said that
development of special economic zones will lead to balanced
industrial development and economic prosperity. Foreign direct
investment has had a particularly positive impact on developing

He said that the government needs to stabilize the political situation
of the country. It is very important for the government to formulate
and implement a long-term strategy for economic development.
Otherwise, there will be very little investment from China and other
countries which will not allow Pakistan to realize its export potential
and fulfill its development goals. He said that the Chinese
government has started giving more scholarships to the students of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. . He said that professors from different
universities of Pakistan were also invited to China to exchange their
views with the people there and build consensus on CPEC.
=University of Peshawar has establishing China Study Center
Many universities in Pakistan have established ‘China Study Centres’.
have done and are running many more Chinese language learning
centers. Some universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also
establishing such centers. University of Peshawar has taken the lead
by establishing the first China Study Center in the province,
Professor Fakhrul Islam said that the aim of the center is to enhance
research, learning, projects and people-to-people links with China.
=Significant improvement in infrastructure in KPK
Professor Fakhrul Islam said that China and Ongoing cooperation
between Pakistan in the field of higher education and language
studies is among the outcomes of CPEC. After the launch of several
projects under CPEC, there has been significant improvement in
infrastructure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Investments made through
CPEC projects have made the economic outlook of the province
quite encouraging. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will invest
two and a half billion rupees in five CPEC projects: construction,
development, rehabilitation and solarization.
