The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department has revised the pay
scales in the style of the federal government by introducing five ad
hoc relief allowances in the salaries of government employees and
introducing the basic salary in 2022.
=Salaries of government employees have been increased by 15%
In this regard, the Finance Department has also issued a formal
declaration according to which the salaries of government
employees have been increased by 15% on the ongoing salaries of
2017, which will remain frozen till further notice. The increase in
employees’ salaries and allowances will take effect in July.
=Complaints about the new salaries and allowances will be addressed
According to the new pay scales issued with the announcement,
with the increase in salaries and allowances, the basic salary of
grade 17 has been fixed at Rs 30,000 to Rs 45,000 while the annual
increment of grade 17 has been fixed at Rs 2,350 to 3,420.
According to the statement, complaints about the new salaries and
allowances will be addressed through the Grievance Redressal
Committee.
=15% increase in the pension of retired government employees too
The Finance Department has also issued a notification of 15%
increase in the pension of retired government employees of the
province, according to which this increase will also be applicable to
the employees retiring on or after July 1. This increase will also be
applicable to family pension given under Pension Low Graduation
1954.
